The Danish National Archives is a research institution under the Danish Ministry of Culture. Twelve members of staff are Senior Researchers, i.e. positions parallel to university (associate) professors, which means that they carry our research to the highest international level. Besides its scholarly obligations, the National Archives is responsible for the same kind of tasks as other national archives.

 

The Danish National Archives possesses the highest expertise with regard to archival matters and research into primary sources.
